I am curious if there are any detailed pics of under the hood available for viewing? The Phoon I bought is torn down and I need some reference pics to piece her back together. Mine is not stock but if there are pics out there I could at least get an idea of where things (brackets, wiring, plumbing etc etc) go. Thanks...newbie!

What type of pics do you need. I had mine completely torn down, and put it back together

Re: I'm new so don't hate

What I am looking for is any close ups of the engine compartment...the engine is in this one but nothing is hooked up to it..piping, wiring, fuel, coolant, vac lines, nothing is hooked up....I don't really have an idea of where anything goes...the a/c and heater box is removed so that has to go back in...no compressor or lines or condensor...not sure where the intercooler water lines are supposed to be run...just need a good image or 10 of where things belong.

Thanks for the first couple of shots Pearl!

I should be able to help. I bought my truck in pieces and put it together from boxes and rubbermaids.

Honesty I purchased a service supplement before I bought the truck. I studied the pages and prepared myself for the fastner fest.

I would highly reccomend a service supplement if your assembling. I think I got everything right installed except my cruise actuatior.I don't know how it goes on I think mine is flipped? Can you install the cruise control actuator upside down?

Re: I'm new so don't hate

Thanks guys, I will shoot some pics when I have a chance to this week. Here's what I know about her....

Bowtie Block
Brodix heads
custom headers
ball bearing turbo of some sort (size?)
75 lbs/hr injectors
accel dfi
conely performance intercooler
some sort of aftermarket radiator
blow off valve ?
the heater box and a/c have been removed...(not staying this way)
big brakes (brand/size?)
Exhaust of some sort...
I see an msd box under the hood
nology coil
aeromotive 1000 fuel pump, -8 lines front to back, sump added to the stock tank
I know the internals of the engine are changed....but I do not know what they are. I am trying to get in touch with the machine shop that did the work... The engine has never been fired in this configuration...lots of work ahead of me!

That sounds like an interesting build. I would recommend posting up some pictures of the truck and also the last four of the VIN number. Someone might know about this truck already.

Good luck,
Nick

I knew the owner well, he took his own life this spring...I own a repair shop in Grand Rapids and we have worked on it in the past...it was at White Racing in Detroit before and several other places as well. I can tell you that when it ran back in the late 90's it was pretty quick...according to the original build sheets and dyno results it was like 767 hp at the crank...it could be all hearsay but more than once we street raced it against bikes and cars...it was a beast in its time...now to at least bring it back to the living side of things would be nice. I really have no interest in building it more, if anything get it to live (front diff and t-case) more than a few weeks at a time.

#0179 is the vin

I'm pretty sure I saw this truck in your shop when I lived in Grand Rapids back in '05. Couldn't remember the name of the shop, but it had black & white checkered floor.

Yes, it has been here for a long time...long story that I do wish to get into. I've been spotted!
