Frank and Denny are tops on the list as far as Typhoons go. Denny is still on a fresh build and shaking all the bugs out (from what I heard), so a 10.88 on what I guess was a shakedown run on a humid night is pretty bitchin'. I forget what Franks truck runs, but I know there are youtube videos of it.

Gerbers trucks are fast too, not sure if his AWD truck is 11's or 10's. His other truck im sure is 10's, but I dont know what block it's based on.

My trucks don't really count under the stock block 10 second club. Both are Bowtie setups. I was running 10s back six years ago when there where only a couple of Tys even touching the 10s. As Denny mentioned, its takes suspension work, tranny work, rear end work, etc to make the AWD 10s and keep things together. My AWD TY is capable of going faster than the 10.60s that I ran 5 years ago as I did multiple upgrades since then, but my main goal was to build a 10 sec Ty that has reliability, safety measures, full interior with custom audio, etc. It weights in at 4,340 lbs. If I didn't even turn up the boost and dropped 1,000lbs I could probably run 9s with little effort. I built it for what its is... a reliable 10 sec Ty with a great ride and good music. I have the other one that can go fast enough for my pucker-hole. It runs 8s easily and handles straight on the track and the street.;)

Most AWD V6 10 sec builds over the years are like bottle rockets. The crowd watches them build, execute, and explode. Not that there is anything wrong with that if you have time... you can build 2-3 motors using a stock block/crank cheaper than you can build one bowtie motor with good internals at this point. From my observation; at any given time there are usually 4-5 BB members with true 10 sec (V6 AWD) trucks. Sadly, only a couple of those have been together more than a couple of years (bottle rockets) so the list always changes.

The "problem" I have seen is that most people who have a build that can sustain 10's realize that is the barrier to entry to go even faster. So once you have a build that can survive running into the 10's, it can most likely run 9's. Then the short block may be capable of low 9's but it needs xyz so it goes under the knife... then maybe 8's is the new goal.... then they lose interest, run out of money, or turn it into a full blown race car and start wondering WTH they are doing with a V6 and AWD.:2cents:

Missed seeing your Ty's at BG!

I was wanting to be there. Paid up and had room reserved. Both trucks have been as good as they have been and were ready to make a few runs. I was wanting to make up for the last BG outing a few years back prior to getting the TT Ty suspension setup correctly (the time when all I could do was blow the tires off...). I did get that straightened out.

I blew my Coan "built" 400 trans last fall and installed a Reid Super 400 with billet drums etc this time around. RPM put it together. I put it in a couple of weeks ago so I could come to the Nats and make some runs.

I was ready to come down Thursday and watched the weather, Friday at 3:00pm I decided not to make the trip. I have much respect for those that came long distances and I am sure they had a wonderful time, but I didn't want to deal with the weather...

Even though weather hurt the morning racing, the evening racing went fairly well (was a bit humid and warm). The track was very sticky, I didn't see anything but a hillbilly dodge pickup truck running 18's spin.

Thanks guys for replying! I look up to the Big Guns and gives me motivation. Looking forward to seeing what happens as far as Builds go.
