how do i get sy performance in my xtreme?

i have a 02 xtrem auto , 4.3L 2wd ::hang::
my friend has a sylcone he takes every thing
i thought about turbo but people tell me it dosn't work good with autos
and that i should just get a LS1 engine swap EXPENSIVE!! :bad-word:

I would pick new people to talk to, or discount any advice these current people are giving you.

Turbo's Love autos. Granted a stick can be more fun to drive, but with a turbo I doubt it will be as fast, let alone faster.

SyTy's only came with autos for a reason, as did the Grand national.

Turbo kits and everything to make them work right will cost about the same if not more than an LS1 swap, so if you think thats expensive, then just leave your truck alone and drive it.

If you want Syclone performance, then sell the Xtreme and buy a Syclone.

we are currently working on a new turbo kit for the Xtremes, one of my employees (fabricator) owns a bone stock (not for long) '02 blazer Xtreme. We will be using the GT35R in the kits, similar to what the syty guys are currently liking...

I was surprised when he showed me the timeslips from the mach performance site? built motor, turbo kit with a 60-1....and 13s????? wtf! somethings wrong there! It is a chitty injection setup though, but we think we have it under control with Tunercat software....I personally own a 1997 GMC with a vortec 350...with the identical powertrain management system....we're playing with it now...and boost

I don't think a bone stock blazer will stay together long with a gt35 turbo, You are going to blow the bottom end straight through the oil pan.

Holds true in this case.

I know where a 4x4 frame is for sale, as well as a 4.3 block with heads. Although I would seriously consider a LS1 motor (5.3, 5.7, or 6.0). Your going to need to build the tranny to hold the power, as well as alot of other little things. Also the '02+ trucks use class 2 serial data to get info from the PCM to the dash, so you ahve to find a way to either use the stock computer, or aftermarket gauges. Then you also have to find a way to tune the thing, and thats a whole nother story.......

IMO unless you have alot of time and $$$ to throw at the project.....pay your truck off, and buy a Syclone.

dont bother cringing if yall think keith dont know about what's needed ...he knows. he just did an impala that went 12.0 on 15psi at 4500 lbs. and it didnt have a 60 ft worth speakin of cuz the guy that ran it didnt know to launch it.

Go buy a real Sy . I was in a similar boat and after getting everything needed to build a complete sy CLONE ( everything ) , I realized that after it all added up I should have bought one from the start . So I just bought one today . Now I can drive my real Sy while I still build the clone . If I ever get around to it .Very time consuming .


The CLONE parts "May" be negotiable for the right price .

i had to do just that. ive been trying for 3 years to make my ss faster, and ive given up (bought sy #569 and became a proud member)
