Re: greddy profec spec 2 boostcontroller settings
I'd try bench setting it to know where your settings end up at. You need 12v power supply and a compressor with air control valve and gauges. Guess you could set it while in the truck too. You want to know how many psi your delivering to your boost controller for your different settings so the flow control is handy. Airflow control on the air compressor is what people use to set correct pressure as in painting. Anyway, that's not hard to figure out.
So, after you hook up that air supply to your controller knowing what you got-18psi for instance, you proceed to turn your the knob you want to set this at-low or high. Once you get your indicator light to come on, your are almost there. Next, you turn the gain knob to get more accuracy. Your boost solenoid can help set this because once you get it spot on, it clicks very rapidly. The slower the click the farther you are from your desired setting either way(high or low). Repeat for you other setting at your desired boost level. Once set, you could mark those settings or just know where they are. Disconnect your air supply and hook up the hoses to your truck's parts.
Your high or low settings are like 50lb and a 100lb counter weight on a scale. The purpose of the gain button is to get everything in between. So, if you wanted to measure 55lbs, your use the 50lb counterweight then get the other 5lbs using the gain button.
Hope that explains it in a manner. Which is more familiar.
If not, sorry to confuse you more. LOL. Just trying to help.
