Hello euro sytyer's (goede morgen, guten morgen, Hola, Hallo, bon jour, Hei, yasas, buon giorno).

It appears I will be returning to Europe on an international work assignment. Did this also back in 2000-2002.

Didn't consider taking the Ty with me last time, might consider it this time since I will be in Germany & The Netherlands for up to 3 years.

Anything you folks that have relocated a Ty to Europe would be appreciated. I could especially use some help with:
transport- time & cost
any safety/usage modifications that have to be done to comply with Euro safety.

Will be moving by early January 2004. So even if I don't end up bring the Ty with me I look forward to the opportunity to meet some of you Euro owners.

Thanks again.

hello there.

Just trying to bring a block from Santa Rosa to the Netherlands.
About cost, where are you planning to life? is it germany or the Netherlands?

to the netherlands the shipping will take 2 months (approx)
transport will be quite low, but than you have to pay some tax.
how much are you willing to pay to get the Ty to the Netherlands?
i can help you out, maybe....
but you can purchase a Sy or Ty here also.
or bring cheap Sy, as i will buy it from you if you live the European scene

Annyway good luck, and your more than welcome, i geuss

hello there.

Just trying to bring a block from Santa Rosa to the Netherlands.
==>>> wish I could help you there; but a block is fairly large and heavy; couldn't bring it on a plane with me. . . . . ..

About cost, where are you planning to life? is it germany or the Netherlands?
==> well best I know right now is that I expect to be in Dusseldorf for 6-12 months, and then near Amsterdam for another 1-2 years after that. The current European Headquarters of my new employer is in Dusseldorf, and there are plans to move the Euro HDQ near Amsterdam, thus, my residence plans....

to the netherlands the shipping will take 2 months (approx)
transport will be quite low,
==> any ballpark amount?

but than you have to pay some tax.
==>> ah yes, lived in NL before; the belastingdienst, eh? hoeveel?

how much are you willing to pay to get the Ty to the Netherlands?
==>> Up to $2,000 for everything (including any modifications) and I think I could get it by the wife without too much work. More than that, and I'm not sure.

i can help you out, maybe....
but you can purchase a Sy or Ty here also.
==>> hm, interesting idea. do you have any links that might have SyTy listings for sale in Europe?

or bring cheap Sy, as i will buy it from you if you live the European scene
==>> that is another interesting idea.

Annyway good luck, and your more than welcome, i geuss
==>> dankewel, meneer.

tot schrijvens,

for the links of Ty for sale, Go to www.mobile.com. they have Ty for sale for 7900 euro's!!! 60K mile and warrenty!!!!!

de Belastingsdienst en de Duane, they aren't verry nice.
if you bring a Syclone, you would be better of, the tax you pay for the Syclone is 4 times less than a Typhoon, only bad thing is importing it, you ave to pay some extra cash, they sure know how to make money here.

the cost of shipping and importing a Ty is about $800 including registration +shipping and insurance, it would be about 1800 in total i geuss, i could check it out.
bringing some extra stuff isn''t the case, just put it in your backseat as they proppebly see it as belong of the vehicle
