Hi guys, im totaly new here.
I got my dads typhoon, and totaly like the car, but then i wanted to modify it, and first thing i did was to take the catalitic converter off, couse it doesnt cost more than 5$ tu place a pipe in there. Then i got that fuel cutoff problem, and found that its becouse of the overboost.

My truck is totaly stock (only with no cat), what performance chip should i use for a stock truck, or what else is needed, for good operation??? Im planing to put a cold air intake in it, and later some head port and pulish.
Im just 17, and just started with cars, what mods do you all suggest before boost increase???

Oh... almost forgot...What suspencion are you guys usin in front?
Mine are totaly wrecked, and i want some stiffer ones than stock, some coil_overs (or what are they called, those with springs mounted on)

Sorry for my english

PEP makes a nice looking coil-over setup for SyTy's

Do lots of research, then go back and do some more. These trucks have a lot of potential, but in the wrong hands they will potentially blow up. You need to have a good idea on how these trucks work and what parts work before you change Anything..

Depending on your goals most likely someone has already tried it. Start with the simple stuff first.

buy an external wastegate or put back in your cat before the truck blows up.. that is if it hasnt already.

Reading the archives is a good suggestion. You can learn alot, and save alot of money by doing your homework.

FYI, the ultimate chip is the one you want.

Basically the ultimate is the best b/c:

1) It is the only chips which reads above 14psi.
2) It has 16 chips in one (diiferent timing/boost settings)
3) Security/Value features with key lock
4) Built in boost controller
5) Display screen so you know what program is running at all times
6) Not to mention it is designed by die hard syty gurus, and constantly is under revisions.

As for purchasing, they can be purchased online at www.raceprovenmotors.com Just click online catalogue and select syclone/typhoon.

The PEP setup appears to be nice. Introductory retail price is $1795. I have a set brand new if interested for $100 off. basically they feature a tubular upper and lower control arm with a bilstein coil over to adjust ride height and stiffness. It elimates the torsion bar suspension, and about 150lbs in the process. handling will be greatly improved.

hope that kinda helps you out.
