FS: MSD Pro-billet Distributor **PICS ADDED**

Bought the MSD Pro Billet Distributor from Hood Tuned to put in my Ty, but couldn't get it to work in my Ty. Put the stock dizzy back in with a new MSD cap and rotor so I have no use for the Pro Billet. It was only stabbed twice, and cranked a few times when my dad and I were trying to get it to work. Nothing wrong with it other than the break-in goop and oil from my engine that I wiped off.

I will post up some pics for those interested this afternoon after I get off from work. Calls for dibs in the thread only, no dibs in PM! Paid $287.00 on Hood's website, so I'll ask $250.00 shipped. Paypal is fine.

That sucks. It just wouldn't fire? Or it physically wouldn't fit?

Wouldn't fire. TDC verified on #1, no slippage of the balancer, the mark was dead on zero, and rotor couldn't point any straighter to #1. Dad was visiting and helping me, so had limited time and had to get it back on the road. Couldn't figure out why, but put the stock dizzy back in and fired right up. Weird...

How do you know there's nothing wrong with it if it didn't work?

Bought it brand-new from Hood Tuned, so I woulda thought something from there was functional in the first place. My father's been a mechanic for close to 60 years, so I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing. All these views and no takers, so I may just end up trying to see if I can return it since there seems to be no interest.

Sounds like a defective MSD distributor to me.....

Yeah with your father knowing what he's doing and you tossing the stocker back in without a problem it's a good indication that the msd one has issues. I'd contact who you purchased it from and see if you have to go through them or msd for replacement

I'll call MSD this morning to see about a swap. Doubtful, they'll issue a refund, but you could wind up with a working one to use or sell.

Mike, If you want to send the distributor back to me, I will test it in my truck. If found faulty, my MSD guy said they'd replace it.
