As it happened, spun a bearing awhile back, lost the crank and at least one original rod went south.
Just passed the 60K miles mark and maybe it just had sat a tad too long or the former owner effed it up on the dyno after putting bigger injectors a gt35r ball bearing while trying to map the link+ ecu. So now gotta go full tilt on the bottom.
Have had a bit of a hard time finding forged rotating assys.
Any help, will be running E85 also so maybe even bump the comp. Brodix heads planned to go along?
it will be a "daily driver"/strip toy. 4L85E is planned to go in also and a 8.5 rear. Add a cowlhood, mandated rollcage and I'm done.
Also any spare original rods out there and a crank as I'm keeping the original engine on the shelf completed.
Got 2 extra Astro long blocks that I dismantled and their cranks looked different, all are cast crank.
The Ty's rods looked forged and pistons hypereutectic?
Have friends in US so shipment or so is not a problem.
Mike.
