Forge wastegate question/issue?

So, I have been tuning my truck, finally, no knock. But here is the issue
I have a forge wastegate, and with scan master and the boost silanoid connected, it (as well as a boost guage I have) is saying I am boosting 15 lbs. After doing some reading, I hear people take the silanoid off, and just connect the turbo to the wastegate. Now, the truck only gets to 8.3 lbs of boost on teh guage and scan master. I adjusted the rod all the way I can (it will not go in any further), and no difference.
Not sure what is going on. My question is should I run the boost silanoid since I am running TT chip and the scan master, or will I get an accurate reading with out the silanoid? I know that in the scanmaster, I can change the amount of boost internally, but right now I have it at 0, which is not adding any percentage higher right now to be safe.

So, i read going through teh search where someone realized the rod coming out of the forge was basiclly to long causing the wastegate not to work properly. I cut about 1/2 inch off of the thread section, and it fit nice and snug on teh turbo. Went out, and now I am hitting 14.6 pounds. I think I have 1 more turn, and it should be good. Not sure if others experienced this?

I have a Kinugawa with 15 psi spring and TT chip. No experience with Forge. Solenoid disconnected (at firewall relay), I get solid 15 # of boost. I reconnect relay and I get no boost control from ECM. My foot is the boost controller then. I'd ask Supa Dave but he don't mess with turdotweek.

Yes, I have a TT chip too. going to mess with it today too. Will I still be able to control it through the datamaster? I guess not since the slenoid is not connected

Only ways a manual or e- boost controller, different springs after solenoid is disconnect. If you can modify solenoid duty cycle, you can control stock components. I assume.
