First Trip to the track

I went to Great Lakes Dragway tonight after work. This was my first time racing my Syclone. Are these times about right for my mods? Hopefully with some more tuning I can shave a few tenth's off.

Here are my times.

Run 1:

60'=1.855
1/4=13.571
mph=97.01

Run 2:
r/t=.828
60'=1.811
1/4=13.578
mph=96.86

Run 3:

1/4=13.587
mph=97.45

Run 4: = The Gay Run

mph=97.53

Run 5:

60'=1.801
1/4=13.506
mph=97.80

Overall, This is pretty much what I expected to run. I was rather happy about my consistency (other than Run #4).

I think those times are very good. I ran about the same but I had to open a cutout before the catyletic converter to do it.

Chris! We just missed each other. My friend was there on Tuesday running 12.4 @ 108 in his 20G Syclone with 120K miles and then I was there on Wednesday with basically the same mods as you and I ran a new best of 13.03 @ 102.8!

Anyways, looks like you are right on track. Do you have a scan tool, what did your run look like? Specifically what was the knock retard and what were your Intake Temps at the beginning and end of the track? I think it's normal to raise 30-40*F during a quarter.

Also what does your boost hit in first gear? If it's not making it to 14 or 15, that is probably the reason you are not getting 1.7x 60's yet. What PSI do you launch at ? On my truck with Sears Viper HX 245 tires, I get the best launches "BY FAR" when I have the most wheelspin. Strange but true.
