Re: First Test & Tune of 2011 nets a 10.95
So this winter I installed two line locks, one for the front wheels & one for the rears. My Exile boost controller has a launch stage that activates off a 12v+ trigger so I can set the boost I want the truck to launch at, somewhere around 3-6lbs. The MSD 2 step also has a launch stage that's activated with a 12v+ for a launch rev limiter. This year instead of having to foot brake the truck at the line, all the launch will be done from the button on the shift knob, here's a link to a pic. http://www.syty.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3751&stc=1&d=1294545160
Basically, it simplifies the launch for me. I'll be able to prestage, stage, mash the brakes to the floor, press the launch button, mash the gas to the floor, engine will hit the rev limiter, launch stage will be selected on the Exile, & the line locks will be activated. Let off the brakes. The truck will launch on the release of the button. Keep the gas mashed , let go of the button on that 3rd amber & hold on!! The Exile also has a ramp function so after I launch, I can dial in how fast I want the boost to come on to help the 60' times. Hopefully going to be heading to Sacramento in the next couple of weeks for a test of the new 120's & E85
.
Just curious about this. Explain please.
Nice upgrades,looks like 9 something huh.
Thanks.
