Fan Control on the 749 ecm

Guys


Is it possible to have fan control with the stock ecm? Does the Code 59 chip do fan control.

If the 749 can do fan control the 730 will. I also that the 730 will run just fine on the 749 code.


I would like to get rid of the stock fan and go electric but i want the ecm to control it.

yes, you can do that and as well as code 58 as well as code 59

Yes, our trucks used it for the intercooler pump from the factory but most people hard wire that to come on anyways, leaving it open to control a radiator fan.

Searching here, thirdgen.org, and code59 should teach you everything you need to know about running code58 or 59 on a 730 ecm.

not sure it's written in the sticky.. but it's ground controlled. i made that mistake wiring it up like it was 12v+ controlled.
