I have a Power Probe 3 that I hooked up to the Typhoon and when I hit the button for 12v power source through there is an electrical noise in the system. This is with the PP3 plugged into the cigarette lighter. I have traced a lot of wiring and the noise is in almost all wiring with the ignition key in the on position. With the key in the off position the always hot wires show a nice steady voltage with no voltage fluctuation. I have traced the noise to the fuse box and if I remove the IGN/GAU fuse the noise goes away in the system. If I hook the PP3 up to the fuse panel directly with the IGN/GAU fuse removed the power to the fuse is clean, so it's after the fuse completes the circuit and goes into the wiring harness from that point that the noise and voltage fluctuation is happening. Any idea what could be causing this? I have gone through the wiring in the ignition and can't pinpoint it. With all the connections unhooked it is still there, gauge cluster removed still there. With the engine running it does it as well and there is some alternator noise along with the voltage jumping around. The battery had been relocated prior to my ownership and I went through and replaced all the cables with 0/1 GA cables and went through and soldered all connections that were made with crimp connectors. I am really lost here. I will try and make a video to show what I am talking about. Thanks for any help, -Chris

So I just went out and unhooked the harness from the alternator and the noise did go away. So this is normal? It drives me crazy when I am checking electrical connections in the vehicle. None of my other vehicles do this with the power probe.

Thank you for your input, I had never seen this issue before. I also didn't know my power probe had a voltage threshold setting. It was set at .2v and I changed it to 2.0v and now it shows steady voltage. And now I can get back to all the other fun stuff to getting this thing back on the road.
