Does anyone know what this connector does?

I found it unplugged directly underneath the power wires that are on the firewall. It's a single brown wire with a single black connector. You can see the connector right above the red part of the tranny dipstick. It's sitting in between that and the red power wire.

Looks like the fuel pump relay test connection. I believe the wire should be gray.

Not if thats the fuel pump test connection. If it is then its only used to test the fuel pump by applying +12v to it.

I dunno for sure if thats it as I cant find the damn FP test connector on myclone.

Mine was doubled over and hidden in the harness on my Ty, David.

Oh, uhh....Don't try to start the truck with that wire hooked up to 12 volts. Pops fuses
Not that I did that or anything.

I've used the connection on a few trucks to power accessories I want powered when the truck is running. (water injection, 2nd fuel pump)
