Damn mice!

Well i went to clean out the ty since the weather is starting to get nicer and what do find when i open the door........5000 acorns and 10lbs of stuffing!!!! I was sooo pissed i grabbed a bat! I open the hood and there was a mouse like o shi*! I swung but he ducked under the ic piping and then the little f'r ran into the valence panel! I can see him looking at me! I want to kill him! I have to rip out the entire interior and replace the carpet. I think there was more than 1 in there at one time. How much is new carpet? What can i put in the ty to keep these pests out?

just shoot thru the valance panel with a shotgun.... that outta do him in. :rotf:



really that sucks, but them bastards can get into just about anywhere.

LOL at stuffed cat.....sorry to hear about that though. You should have gotten a bb gun and shot him, but then he would stink unless you got him out, lol ---

You shouldve jumped in right away and drove to the DIY carwash and blasted the hell out of em. I was plowing snow in a 79 dually once(when I worked for someone) and I had been out for about 3-4 hours and all of a sudden this friggin mouse crawls out of the wiper vent things mabobber and runs across the bottom of the windshield taking a nose dive right into the road at 45mph. It was sweet, k back on track.

You will probably probably get a whiff of the mice for the rest of the Typhoon's life now.

Dryer sheets help keep them away for some reason.

Ditto on the sheets, good luck with the carpet. OEM carpet is several hundred dollars, if you can find it, otherwise LMC truck might have it or JCWhitney.

I got my new carpet from summit racing, its not perfect required some trimming, but it was cheap a little over $200.

Cost is not a factor. I want to fix it properly. Can you still buy oem carpet from gm? I looked on gmpartsdirect and could not find it. I did a search and found that bounce seems to be the most popular fabric sheet. Is this still the case or will any really do the trick?

That sucks!!! I killed two mice in my garage after I noticed a hole in the front cover for my Saleen. Luckily I got them before they got the car. Next year, place mouse traps (5-10) under the Ty....a mouse will always go for cheese first!!!! Worked for me.

Well, I have never had a mouse problem and I use dryer sheets, so..... I'll look around at some carpet for you (lots of GM dealers here) Maybe something is laying around?? Its worth a look I guess.

Too late. I was having nightmares so as soon as i could today i gutted the interior. Thank god they did not eat my seats! I don't know if the mouse is still in the car though. I set traps but no luck. Tomorrow i will put mothballs in the car along with the sheets and a bunch of traps. If i catch it and it's alive i will let the syty crew decide what to do with him

I know how you feel, the mice got in my headliner last fall. So I moved the ty to the other garage and the cats have been stayin the night in that garage since. Have already found a few half eaten mice bodies.
