would like to know who has done this and what cores, piping, etc... were used to complete your install. any tips, tricks, and pics would be really nice. i removed my a/c and have tons of room in there, now.

i searched and didn't come up with anything that really made sense and some of the pic links are dead.

I'm tellin ya bro, that's the way to go. I couldn't find any pics either, but I might've had some saved on my other computer, so I can dig through those when I get back from the wedding this evening. I remember them talking about buying a good core with low psi drop for $300-$400 on ebay, and taking the rest to someone who can mandrel bend pipe and get it all fabbed up.

I just finished up mine a couple weekends ago with a 32x18x3" core off ebay and 3" tubing. I can post pics later

Dude, how much money, time, and patience you have so far into this build.....Custom make it!!!!!! It will be better then the A2A that vendors off IMO. You'll have a bigger core in a better location. Not to mention it looks mean!!! There are universal piping kits on ebay that are nice and also like any size intercooler. Just measure behind your grille and fit the biggest one possible. No problem!!!!!!

Re: Custom Front Mount A2A Intercooler

anybody have any dimensions they could give me for the core support. i got no a/c at all and would consider using a 3-4in core.

Theres more to it than that .Although I will agree that at lower hp , many i/c cores will suffice.

That core sounds like the biggest I've heard of being put on. I think anything thicker and you'll really be hacking up the grille/hood latch.
