Fantastic job on the wheels and the intake....how did you mask off the words and letters to paint them?! Thanks ---

Re: Cleaning & Refinishing

i masked the milled surface on the intake. then i use duplicolor scratch touchup paint, to paint the "Syclone 4.3 turbo", then hit the surface with the air sanding wheel to give it a swirl finish. Then cleared it. The intake color is "aluminum blast" from Eastwood. I've had the spray can for over 8 years, and never used it. So i tried it, and it looks like new aluminum, i did the upper IC too, just didnt snap a pic.

Heres one with the intake back on.

Looks really nice

I'm kinda liking the orange intake though, it just reminds me of a old school GM motor. I might have to do something like that later on.

Re: Cleaning & Refinishing

Verrrry nice! Thinking long term (next winter) I want to pull my engine, do a build, and do some detailing like this to finish it off. Sweet. Wheels are impressive. I'll wait for your answer to the other posts on how you did them. BTW Eastwood has lots of neat stuff.
