so far we have 4 going out.that leaves 21 minus 4 i will keep for myself.i hope that they go as this revenue will be used to finance the e4340 planets and reaction tubes.we dont sell many short shaft 700r4s so we will abort if they dont move.these parts are syclone /typhoon specific and remember ,no one stepped up to the plate to make them for your vehicles except for us.

bravo chris for making somthing only about 4ppl have ever broken in 13 yrs. sounds like you made something we could use just dont exactly need.

I'd take one if they were a bit more affordable...

John,
Why everytime Chris comes and post something on the forum he has to get attacked. The guy is just letting everyone know of a product. Whats your beef with him??? I know your concerned about the quality and you asked him about it and he responded with information, so let it be. I dont know Chris, but, obviously the guy is goining to lose it sooner of later if everytime he comes on the forum he gets attacked. I have nothing against anyone, but, come on let the guy be. I agree the product is a little pricey, but remember, design, machining, labor, etc. costs $$. Especially when you are creating products for a small specialty market, so I understand the seller's costs and his need to recoop some of his investment and try to still make a modest profit (profit is totally upto the seller and it is their business what they feel there product is worth). I am not defending him for his replies to the negative posts with even more negativity. :( If that is how he wants to represent his business, than it's too bad for him.

Anyways, my completely neutral, unbiased 2 cents..... if you aren't interested in what someone is selling, or you don't like the product or price, don't hijack the thread to start a war, just STFU and move to the next thread.

In a market like ours where it seems to be getting harder to get new/good parts, we should be happy people are still offering to try and make parts for these awesome trucks instead of complaining.

I met once Chris a few years ago when I bought a trans from a shop in richmond hill, who bought it from Chirs 5 or so years before that. I had problem with the tranny , they send me to Chris.
Chris took time to check it out for free, he was stright up. He spoke to the shop and I got 100 % refund.

I don't know what the story is here but Chris seem to be a OK guy to me.

the problem here is that two guys build transmissions(walller and chris), chris comes on the board discussing new ideas and new products. however, waller has never offered any new ideas or products for our transmissions. so what does he do to show that he knows a thing or two?, he questions and attacks chris and others.

waller, you mentioned before that you have some "special" parts that only you have. why dont you fill us in on what these parts are?

CK Perf. ?

CK Perf. ?

Some guys on the GN/TTA list are saying that they can't get ahold of CK. Are there any problems there - he is still in business there ?

I applaude anyone who will make anything for these trucks stronger than stock. No I can't afford one but if I had a really fast SyTy and had the money I would consider any stronger part out there.

wouldn't that be a shame if you became #5

what a joke, you rip on him for saying he made something we don't need, then say you'd take one if they were a bit more affordable. That is just too funny.

thanks for the appreciation of our efforts to produce a much needed new product.i didnt think many took into consideration the amount of work it took to produce the shafts, three sets of different splines, lube holes ,and bushing journals.,and hardest of all the 18 degree helical gear shaping for the governor gear.this shaft was underpriced and in order to stay true to the original projected price we absorbed the rest .those who saw the pictures of it should post as to what their impressions are.most companies we approached to make them wouldnt even consider making less than 100 let alone 25 .anyhow we did get it done ,and will follow thru with the other goodies promised followiing the sale of the shafts including our new 2.66/1.57 planetary gear sets.this is not even a matter of money but an attempt to once again take my engineering /research and development off the paper and into the place they deserve .....................in the confines of a real live automatic transmission case.thanks for your support its what makes us tick.

Correct me if I am wrong.. but for an "E" trans... I don't need the helical cut on the shaft...

If it is any cheaper for you and they can eliminate this from the process.. I am good with that.

Seems less cutting = less time and less stress in the shaft.

we ran all with governor gears.the area in question never was an area of concern as far as durability.it tends to be weakast along the outside of the core hole drilled in center.we are not planning on running any more in the near future unless there is a call and at that point in time can omit the gear.in a 4l60e you would not have a governor so the gear may or may not be present on the shaft regardless.
