Well, I would have no problems making the drive. I had mentioned to SEL777 I'd give him a hand with his truck on 4-2 (that is what prompted this). Now, this doesn't mean he and I can't hook up before at my place if he doesn't want to make the drive.
It sounds like you have a more capable spot to work than I do. If you are ready to bolt your engine in - you'll have more hands to get cut up.
I am not even the slightest bit offended - and in fact almost excited.

icould bring down my just finished ty, got it to idle but only with the timing unplugged, and it pops the check engine light. doesnt run for crap. no datamaster in my posesion, and i doubt i would even know what to do with it im lucky i can even use this forum. should i just get the 50 pounders and the newest ultimate first?

i have datamaster that i havent even used yet.
gm turbo.... sounds like a plan,
i have a 2 car garage parking for 4-5 in the driveway, and unlimited street parking. i also have an air compressor, air tools, heater, welder, 2 sawsalls, grinder, fuel pressure gauge, timing light, bench grinder, tons of light, (you can never have too much) , floor jack, 6 jack stands, drill,etc..... etc.....
if you drive like me, you can make it from the border, to my house in 30 min, and the nice thing is its all interstate, and im right off the interstate 2-3 miles.
basically directions are: i-90 from ill to wi get off at the high crossing boulavard exit, at stop sign turn right go 1/2 mile, take a right at next stoplight, on nelson rd. go approx. 2 miles, till road comes to a T and a stop sign, take a left on bailey rd, go approx 1- 1 1/2 miles, take a left on park view rd, second duplex on the left.

with the baby due just 2 weeks later I guess there might be a chance that we'll get an early suprise. I won't know until that morning when I leave if I'll make it or not. I don't plan to lug any tools unless there is something that is needed. Hopefully I'll get GT549 off the stands. I got a pretty decent Digital Advance timing light that I've never used... at least not yet.
Anyway, I have every intention of being there. As much as I want this baby to come, I'd like to dothe wrenching session as well. We'll have to wait and see.

im in west dundee. i live 2 miles from 90 off of randall road. id say im 2 hours or so from sun prarie. hell i just drove past there 4 times this week. picked up 2 demo cars in winona min. just got back here from the secind trip 2 hours ago

no seriously i'll be up at like 7:30-8:00 am on the 2nd, so if you wanna show up early thats cool, and if you wanna show up late that's cool too.
so what time do you guys wanna work till ? (i love wrenching, and fabricating, so you'll have to shake me voilently to get me to snap out of it.)
i just dont stop untill everything is fixed!!
