Chip ID info

I have a question on chip ID.

I just got a chance to yank the computer out from typhoon and remove it for inspection .

I pulled the cover off and the chip reads SY137A

Its some type of ATR chip, 1993.

A little information on what I currently saw under hood was a adjustable fuel regulator, 40# black top (tomco?) Injectors and had a cold air intake. The truck is smelling like fuel big time during idle. I got all the codes abd engine lights to go out and is blinking code 12. Everything cleared just smelling fuely
Can anyone shed any light or pm me with info. Thanks

Re: Chip ID info

Cleared up the issue with the truck smelling like fuel and loading up... I figured since the truck is chipped let's double check the fuel pressure again. WELL, I let my dad stand by and play under the hood while I did the hard work ( haha turning fpr screw ) and sure enough when I double checked the pressure was a bit low???

My idea was maybe it needed to have a little more...so I dialed it in and it noticeably stopped smelling like it was flooding out on gas and smoothed out even further with idle. Aside from not knowing what the chip is setup for truck is that much further along running better.

I don't think the ATR Sy137a was for 40# injectors. Put in a set of stock injectors and it should work.

Could be.. I have no way of knowing. Very limited info on the chip. I searched through some pages but didn't find what I was looking for. Nothing on injector size.

Re: Chip ID info

I searched the forum. The 40# injector ATR chip is SY137E. The SY137A isn;t going to run right with 40# injectors.

The Pitbull uses the stock 2 bar map sensor. The base fuel pressure should be around the stock 43.5# (vacuum line disconnect). Boost control is open compared to the stock closed loop. The boost on the ATR can be adjusted with wastegate rod.

Re: Chip ID info

How would I know it is for 33# injectors? let alone 40# injectors? Do I need to run a data log and see my injector duty cycle? Right now it seems like it could be a 50/50.

my stock injectors are in Alaska right now and I cant just pop them in

The funny thing is the oil was washed out with gas and I drained it all and truck seemingly runs better.

Thanks for sheding some light on the topic guys I know a little bit more than when I started

Re: Chip ID info

Ok as soon as I can get my red tops I will be putting them back in. I have a small punch list to knock out in the mean time

Thanks
