btw howd they paint the cladding? i need to have mine done again, since the first shop eff'd it up, and i want it done right... the satin look is exactly what i want!

Roberto, that paint does look real good man. Any Idea how it would compare to PPG Triple Black? That's what I've been thinking of getting. My goal is to have the blackest black I can get with enough clear on top that it looks like glass and I want it to look really deep.

thanks guys. 666 sothis 666 the cladding was painted with sikkens rally black. its just two coats no clear. the truck still has to be wetsanded and buffed. thats how it came out of the spray booth.


phoon30. i only compared the paint with dupont. my buddy told me this paint dries real hard and was up there with the best paint brands. thats why i went with it. i dont know much about paint so i leave it up my buddy. i heard that the dupont was easier to chip.i can ask my buddy what he thinks about the ppg paint.

i just talked to my buddy he said ppg is good paint. i forgot to mention before to. the cladding was wetsanded down with 600 grit.then just painted. the thing with the sikkens paint you can mix it a bunch of diffrent ways. we added flex adjent( spelling) and silicone. the reason we put the sicone in there was we were getting a few fish eyes in the cladding. the silicone took care of the problem.

Nice paint job Did he paint the cladding on the truck or did he pull everything off and paint the pieces separately. I'm going to have my cladding painted soon and I'm wondering what most Sy/Ty owners do when they paint the lower half.

take the cladding off. it will be a lot easier to prep and paint it. you dont have to worry about getting over spray on your sy-ty.

thanks. no prob. on the help. thats why this site is here. im gonna do the best i can at sharing what i know. which i know i still have alot to learn about syclone and typhoon's.
