Cardinals Ticket Question

I was planning on going to st louis next week and was hoping to take in a cardinals game when they play the pirates on the 19th or 20th. I was just curious what the ticket demand is like and if I should buy tickets ahead of time online or am I safe to wait and buy them at the gate? I know the cards are 7 games out but know cardinals baseball is huge is st louis that is why I ask. Thanks. Oh and if anyone might have good season tickets and can't make it to a game definitely let me know. :)

Re: Cardinals Ticket Question

I don't know if they are selling out right now but locally I have heard of folks having good luck picking up tickets out in front of the stadium from scalpers. (they changed the scalping laws in Mo so its much easier to buy them now.
They just cant sell them ON the stadium property so you have to go across the street to change hands.

Also check on St Louis Craigs list, there are deals on there every week and some guys here at work picked up a 10 pack or something ridiculous for cheap.

ROFL I happened to be reading our work bulletin board right after i read this post and what was listed...

"Come out and see the Cardinals beat up on the almost last place Pirates on Tuesday August 19th, and have a chance to catch a foul ball when you sit in Section 166 Row J (That's not to far off the field) Seats 5-8. Game time is 7:15, or come down early for batting practice for an even better chance to catch one. Tickets are 35/each = 140 total. Face Value is 52 each or 208 total. That's a huge savings!!!"
