Can you guys figure out what is wrong with my oil pickup tube?

I am trying to finish the new motor finally.....but where i left off was an issue with the oil pickup tube. I have the ckeith aluminum pan and he told me to use the 10555 oil pump and the moroso pickup part number 24310. The problem we are having is that the pickup tube is too long. The oil pan hits the pickup tube about 1 inch before the pan would rest flat on the block. When i got the pickup from moroso the package was taped up as if it was opened at some point. What i am wondering is first did i order the correct parts and two did someone switch the oil pickup tube and i wound up with it?

I am told that there is a chance that someone switched out the pickup tube with a 4wd one. Dave here is the pic i spoke of. Thank you for your help.

I think because of the custom pan, all you can do is pore through catalogs to find a suitable pick up.

Or make a custom one. :tup:
