Calling merk out!

You sir are scumbag. I have found out that after i paid you a rediculous price of $300 plus a zq8 steering box YOU did in fact call a certain member on the board and tell them to make photocopies of the build sheets for the raspberry along with the other worthless information you included! I have also found out that a lot of money has been invested in gaining the ORIGINAL documents and that person will not let them go. You are an embarasment to this community and yourself. I want my money back and the steering box. You are a fraud and i hope carma comes around to get you. Here are the pm's we sent back and forth so everyone can see what a pathetic individual you are. I love the part where you state,

"With unique vehicles such as the Syclone and Typhoon I think you would agree that the more documentation, the better. Having the right documentation makes the truck so much more attractive ($$) to prospective buyers."

So photocopied information the "right" information! after you tell me there is no originals and i find that you called the person to tell him to copy the folder!!!!!

*MY PM FOLDER COPIED SO ALL OF SYTY.NET CAN SEE WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU REALLY ARE*

Re: typhoob raspberry

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brian,

Wow. I am a bit shocked of your displeasure. I am not sure what you were expecting but I don't believe you have taken a second to really look what has been delivered.

On the window sticker, my photo shows a cd player and no luggage rack.

You have the original PAS Log book for the 92 Typhoon. How else would you log these back in '91-'92? Dave Beard was on the build team, and actually was the original owner of the other Raspberry which was bought by Doug in Missouri. You could ask him if he has original documents or not. I bet not.

The build sheet is in the manilla folder. This authenticates a numbers matching truck with dates and specific info. I don't know where else you could find this info, as GM does not have it.

Again, not trying to be difficult with you I am just a little surprised you find no value (check your math, btw). The only way someone in GM gets original copies is if they are the CEO.

When you think of a way to make yourself happy, let me know.

Sincerely,

Brian

You also told me there was a build sheet wich i am not sure if it's here either. The receipt from the original owner is for a defective center cap, not exactly information worth $500 if you ask me. There isn't anything here of value to me or anyone else. It's all photocopied information and nothing from gm that supports the color. Not trying to pick a fight but none of this is even worth framing or has any value.

through USPS and is in a tube package. They should arrive at the same time.

yes, there is documentation to support the raspberry color.

BTW, a PDM manual is a "Product Description Manual". Intricate drawings of every part for the Typhoon. Definitely neat to have.

Thanks,
Brian

I don't use paypal, so you may sent a check or M/O to the above address.

Please respond with your particulars as well.

Thanks.

I also have a spare PDM manual, which I can include if desired.

Let me know.

With unique vehicles such as the Syclone and Typhoon I think you would agree that the more documentation, the better. Having the right documentation makes the truck so much more attractive ($$) to prospective buyers.

Therefore, I respectfully decline your counter offer at this time.

So you paid around $400+/- for a few copies of build sheets saying you have a legit Ras Ty? Thats all?

Re: Calling merk out!

Did Merk ever own this truck, or just provide "documentation" for it? I'm curious.

If he owned it, why wasn't the documentation included with the sale, as it would have obviously been provided to support the price and deal? If no, and he just did "documentation", then I'm not sure what to think.

Merk has a long-running reputation for being privy to a lot of obscure facts and info about these trucks. He obviously knows people. He also knows the value of documentation to a rare vehicles' owner. It ain't worth shit to anyone else, other than a prospective buyer.

In my NCRS "Driveline" which is the publication for classified ads for members, there are occasional 'posts' where someone has uncovered 'documents' or items that go with a particular S/N car. Protecto-plates, build sheet, tank sticker, original invoice, etc. Almost always, these are offered to the cars' present owner at no cost, if they provide proof of ownership. It's their way of contributing to the 'Hobby". Original stuff goes back to the car it belongs to. It is NOT offered for sale so it can be used to create bogus documents for other cars. These are my observations of other "hobbyists".

In light of the current situation with Merk, as illustrated in Jimmy's link, perhaps there was a 'dark side' all along. Merk's been part of the SyTy community a long time. If he charged money for this 'service', I guess he's not a "hobbyist" after all.

Is there any "more" to this story? I didn't see your original inquiry in the PMs regarding your search for documentation. It begins with "I decline your offer" by Merk. You've got a high post-count. Obviously not just a noob with a gripe.

Regards,
Dave

Re: Calling merk out!

I have acquired an original windows sticker for someone elses' truck and offered it to them for FREE.

Some people do things for the good of the community and the brotherhood, some people do things to forward themselves only.

looking at the present case against the entire Merklinger family I would say they were a group of taking advantage of others for their own gain.

I am very sorry to read this as I always held Merk in high regard as far as people who knew alot about these trucks and had a love and passion for them.

Now i am beginning to think all he ever saw was dollar signs.

Re: Calling merk out!

double post.

Its not a double post. I just got confirmation today about how merk aquired the info. He phoned a member and asked to have it copied. Just so everyone knows the PAS info came with a stipulation i found out after the fact......it was NOT to be sold to make a profit. I have also learned that he sold the info without telling others who own it as well.
