I don't need that many. :lol: I should check my mom's laptop and see what it needs. It's almost worth it just to to end up with some her laptop can use.

well if you figure out exactly what type/speed your mom's machine needs i'll thumb through all of them and see if there's any in the mix. or let me know what model it is and I'll research it

I'll open it up tonight and see. it doesn't need much, but i'm pretty sure what's in it is corrupted.

Yup. RAM is corrupted. I'm using my mom's laptop right now with 256MB removed and it's worked flawlessly, albeit slow, so far.

I'm thinking of just upgrading my wife's laptop to 2GB and putting her old memory in this thing.

Any 1GB sticks of DDR2 PC2-5300/DDR2-667 in there? I could use 2. :tup:

No worries if you don't. Looks like this type of RAM has really dropped in price and Newegg has plenty in stock.
