Bowtie block wanted

Vortecs. I found a new set of bare castings and rpm is redrilling them now. I didn't want to deal with headers right now and I want to keep the factory A/C. I want to keep the truck looking as stock as possible.

Just curious. What are your goals. A stick block built correctly will hold 750/800 hp. You could build 5 of them for the cost of one well built BT set up. If 800 isn’t enough go sbc or ls. I’ve been down this road your about to go down. A bow tie engine is stupid expense and it will take you forever to gather parts and get it running.

Hard to explain maybe. My goal is to make as much power as I can retaining the factory A/C. The 67mm precision turbo is rated at 926hp. even though I know that it will not make that much in a Syclone but it should make 7-750? which is getting close to the limits of the stock block. Knowing that I will end up with 15k ish in the motor (steel crank is $3400 alone) I'm figuring a good block would be "cheap" insurance. Also give me some room to grow in the future if I decide to get crazy(r). I appreciate the advise, this is proving to be tougher than I thought but it's too late to turn back now!

Well at least you have a realistic budget. Im trying to do budget Bowtie right now. I easily have 2k in just machine work.
