dying the coolant & windshield washer resevoirs.

I bought some royal blue Rit dye. Thought it would match the Aeroquip Socketless hose I have.

Anyway, it worked although the color is a little more purple than I would have liked.
Beats the stock white.
You could say it looks a little ricey.
I guess, It'll have to grow on me.
I'll take some pic's soon to give you an idea and post them on my site.

So you could do this with any of dye colors available from Rit.
If you want more details on how to do it, email privately.

I never thought of dying them. I was gonna paint mine but have decided it would be too ricey. BW has enough reason to poke fun at me.

The coolant bottle didn't turn out as well.
Needed to glass bead the inside to clean all of the crud out.
The cleaner you get them, the better the dye uptake.

Yeah, that picture doesn't really do it justice.
I don't know why it turned out so dark & grainy.

You can still get new ones from GM. I replaced my over flow container with a new one. Cheap too, 8 bucks. I just had to drill a hole for the tube from the intercooler.

Yeah, but it's stock looking.
If I wanted the truck stock, I would've saved my $45k and bought a Vette or a Viper.

I probably will buy another coolant resevoir anyway, since the dye didn't take very well. That was because I couldn't clean the inside out very well.
