Re: Beverages

Gonna check with the local supplier about a keg of Yuengling. Could get two if needed. What's the beer of preference if we get two or if Yuengling isn't available?

No pref here , I rarely drink these days .

A steady hand to man a video camera taping the shenanigans sounds needed :)

Re: Beverages

A buddy of mine runs the Fast-n-Easy in Statesboro. I'll ask him for a list of beer and prices. Mich Ultra is fine with me too. Tastes fine and won't cost an arm and a leg. Just called Bi-Lo and they don't have Mich Ultra, but they have Mich Light ($99 keg) and Natty Light ($80 keg). I'll check the F&E tomorrow and report back.

My ass. Look at it.
Regardless of keg flavor, I will be drinking Yuengling. Imma take advantage of gettin' it while the gettin's good.

WOW, I love natty lite, although it is an acquired taste only for the most refined palettes. I do plan on attending, as the wife gave me the tenative go ahead last night.

Re: Beverages

We might just do a keg of Natty Light (to save cost) and then get some cases of Michelob & Yuengling separate.

I am going to assume that your "to save cost" comment was not meant to group Natty Lite with the likes of old millwater or Shaffer's beer. Natty is a fine beer, and you have to drink quite a bit of it before you start feeling like making an ass out of yourself.;)

I was bottle fed Natty Light. You won't find me (or any South Georgia country boy) spouting an ill word about "The Freshman's Finest". However, Bi-Lo and most keg retailers don't hold it in the same regard as some of us, and under-charge for this liquid manna. And since Natty Light is the best-selling sub-premium beer in the US (meaning, it's cheap), it's cost is often reflective of it's popularity.

But, if the group wants to opt for a different keg flavor, I'll gladly split a dirty thirty with you.
