Mike, I should have some frame pad mounts soon (awaiting from the waterjet) that need to be welded to the bottom of the support to make it obvious/easy to mount to the frame. If you don't figure it out before i get them, i'll send you a set of them to use.
But i'd use 1/4" plate with a hole to let the bolt down through.

I dunno that piece has always looked very cheap and flimsy to me....

It's not meant for crash protection, just to hold up the radiator/grill etc.

I totally agree however, by the time my stock core support gets hacked up to fit the IC its just as flimsy. So I figure, whats the difference?
