alarm removal

I have a non functionng ALPINE alarm.
Can I remove it and all the wiring without causing myself grief.
There is a heluva pile of wires attached to the ALPINE CONTROLLER box in front of my fusebox which is at the moment virtually inaccessible. :roll::roll::roll:

Should I go to an installer to get this done ??????

It can be done without the alpine schematic. It wouldn't be easy, basically attach every wire you disconnect from the alarm back to the corresponding wire. Most of them use those t splices which could simply be disconnected. I hate it when stereo and alarm installers do messy installs. The can be cleaned up but can be very time consuming depending on how clean you demand it to be. Away from the fuse box and peddle area is always a must to get anything done down there in the future.

I would recommend taking it to several stereo shops and talking personally with the installer and be upfront but not rude how clean and put away you would like it. Judge your response by the way they react and make sure the manager is listening to your request so in the end you will be satisfied
