"Actual AFR" stuck at 10 in TunerPro, can't find the problem

So I finally got all my code 59 stuff up and running and the PLX showing readings in tunerpro. I start messing with the F28 table, take it out for a quick drive down the street, it stumbles and dies. It started back up but missed the entire way back. Now it misses at idle and the Actual AFR won't budge from 10.00


Check engine light isn't on but under Malfunction Word 1 I have ones next to Code 24, 21, 15, 14 and 12

I'm at a loss, I have ripped everything out, and reconnected everything just "hanging" I have good grounds, I'm getting readings of mid 500 mVs in tunerpro but the actual AFR deal wont move. I have the correct o2 sensor selected.

Another weird thing. If ALDL isn't actually connected, it'll say the cable is working properly. Hit connect, ALDL connects, I get every reading except the Actual AFR and if I test the cable, it says cable not found. I have re-downloaded all the bins and files from code59 in case anything went corrupt.

Don't think this is related,but when my map sensor was not plugged in all the way,the AFR were stuck around 10.0

Yeah I have verified every vacuum and electrical connector is plugged in


and by stuck at 10.00 I mean it won't budge by .01 even if I give it gas

This is what it does if:

1)The wideband isn't providing voltage to the F14 pin on the ECM. Check voltage on that pin.
2)The wideband isn't wired to the F14 pin correctly.
3)The bin file being run is set to a different wideband than the one you're running.
4)The wideband isn't grounded properly.

Are you running TP5 or TP4?

Sorry for the late reply, I finally got a chance to mess with it this past weekend. I have reverified/resecured every connection and I know its hooked up right (it used to work just fine).
I'm sure the bin and xdf files are the correct ones, got them straight off the code 59 website. Tuner Pro is 4.14. I also have the correct wideband selected

The strange thing is the mV under 02 voltage box on the dash moves and hovers around 448.00-452.00~ but the "actual AFR" will NOT respond. I'm at a complete loss, it's really one of the last things I need before I can start driving it


Only thing I couldn't figure out is, how do I check voltage at the F14 pin? I have peeled back the insulator just a tad to get my multimeter on it but have no real idea where to set it to. Could the 02 sensor itself be bad?

Here is a screenshot as of 5 minutes ago. I forgot to mention the codes on the "Malfunction 1" table have mysteriously disappeared, everything is back to 0s

Do you have the DM5 gauge with the PLX? If so, what does it read?

What does it do with key on, engine off?
Maybe look to see if the other WBO2 flags are set to on.

and you have the .ads file associated with the XDF file?

Don't have a DM5 gauge

With key on, engine off, actual afr comes up as 10.00

With ALDL not connected it goes down to 0.00

the I do have the files associated when I go to select the .xdf file. I click on the associations tab and verify I have the correct .ads file.


I have even tried selecting other 02 flags for different sensors. the readings shift a couple points up or down, but do not "respond" when I turn on the truck

I can buy a DM5 gauge to see what it says but it just kills me that it used to work and now it doesn't. I don't even know if the gauge will work either. Money got tight these past few months

Well now I'm thinking it's a software issue, I downloaded TP5, got the correct files for it and it responds, I ran into another problem where the DA: Connected jumps around and I get an ALDL error flashing (look at the error box next to it). I saw other people have the same problem here

Are you using a USB to Serial Cable adapter? Maybe its not connecting right.
Go to the device manager in the My Computer/control panel/device manager section

USB Serial port COMM 4

Try these settings:
bits per second 2400
data bits 8
parity none
stop bits 1
flow control none

I'm actually using a PPI Typhoon serial cable, that hooks up straight to my laptop, I think it may be the issue with TP5, but as soon as I uninstall and reinstall TP4 it goes flat. 10.00 no matter the rpm
