ok, so i'm tearing everything out. i have the RPM kit(have yet to install), removed condenser, all AC lines, AC pump, AC accumulater. now i need to remove the AC box, i have a NON - AC box, ready to go in. is the evaporater core easy to get out, what have you guys done when installing the non-ac box? i need to know soon as i'm tearing into it tomorrow and would like to figure out anything before i start making mistakes. TIA.

Re: AC delete????

I think the rpm kit is $200 and you could usually pick up a non a/c heater box for around $100

Re: AC delete????

all I can remember is that you have to keep your resistor from your factory ac heaterbox and swap it over to your none ac box

Re: AC delete????

I can't remember does the kit come with a new shorter belt?
That was all you need right?

Hey Branden were you able to disconnect the A/C without leaking all the refrigerant out?

Re: AC delete????

i just installed the new box, but now my question is, what do i do about the blower motor? the one i got with it is too deep and so is the stocker. i transferred over my stock resistor as well.

you need to change to "fins" attached to the bower motor for a non ac model. you can be cheap and cut it down like i did years ago with my v8 s10 but it can cause a noise/vibration.

Re: AC delete????

The heater core for a non-AC truck is different as well. I believe that the inlet/outlets on the core are shorter so they don't stick as far into the engine compartment.

what about it? it's not needed plus won't fit a non ac box so there for it gets tossed :)
