2 Questions...

1) Why were you f'n w/ a camera @ 120+?

2) Ever here of waiting until you reach "normal operating temperature" before you torture something?

Just an observation....:)

I was gunna say something about the temp, my TY shoots up to about 200 under WOT with a 160 degree T-stat. I just want to know where he lives that he can get up to speed that fast without warming up? Or is it that your speedo broke? The turbo is in vacuum pretty hard, I don't think that is possible at that speed even when letting off the gas, but I could be wrong.

When im doing 120mph + in my sy I always remember to push the trip counter right before I steady my digital camera for a pic :)

Re: A Picture I snapped the other day...

the temp reads the same as my Sy, but the RPM's should be way higer as the boost gauge

I wasn't going to mention that one just yet...nor was I going to point out that the oil pressure needle had been cropped out. :rotf:

...actually i think its possible. my temp gauge has never read accurately since i installed my 160 stat, and if he's letting off on the gas that would explain the vacuum and the lower RPMs. As for the trip odometer... mine is stuck at 0000, and i know there's a few people here on the board with trip odometers that stick. Obviously he's not using the stock chip, and maybe he was going down hill... but i still say its possible. I just don't think i'd be messing with a digital camera at that speed haha

Good work Doug!

It might be more realistic if the picture didn't show the empty hole where the gauge cluster gets screwed into the dash.

Beside the other reasons that the others have stated. The RPM aren't high enough. It should be around 3900 RPM, that RPM correlates to around 105mph or so.
