Hi! I have a totaly stock truck and im planin to get the 3bar map sensor and a new chip.
What chip would you guys advice me to get?
Is there somethin else that should be changed together with these parts, like the fuel pump and fuel presure regulator???

The STG ultimate 3bar chip seems to be the way to go. But What version do i need for stock engine and intercooler?
After i get the chip and 3bar map sensor, is it ok to remove the cat? The cat was damaged, and the truck had overboost after replacing it with a pipe, so a guy made some restriction in the pipe thats in the place of the cat.

get the ultimate 50# ver 2 or higher. it's great that you put some restriction back into the exhaust but have you gotten the boost rock solid?

you will need a adjustable FPR, and a walbro 255 fuel pump at the very minimum.

Im not sure bout the boost, but i will check it, if therl be a bit more overboost, il make the restriction a bit bigger. Will the stock boost guage (totaly inacurate, right?) be ok, to check if the boos is solid?

I have the Walbro 255 high pressure on the list already, so i can be sure that i wont go out of fuel, if i will put a bit bigger turbo someday in it.
What FPR would guys you suggest? I cant get no of these parts where i live (Latvia), thats why i have to get some exact names.
I couldnt find the FPR for a typhoon in the ATR website.

I maybe have a chance to get them delivered by a guy from the states, may dad knows him weary well.

Is there only one universal ATR FPR, or is there a special one for a Sy/ty? Or the ATR one is not as good as others?

Can someone give me the email for MrSyclone?

Oh, and there is one more thing i would like to know. The Chip supports up to 24psi boost, right? With the changes that i plan to make, would it be enough to run the 24psi Boost, and would it be safe? Well i dont plan to do it the whole time, most of the time i would run it on the least powerful settings. Or i should get some better injectors and a bigger Wastgate too?

Yes, the Ultimate is about the only chip out there for our trucks, except for a custom burnt one. If you are staying with the stock turbo you will need to keep some sort of restriction in the exhaust, either cat or muffler. I ran mine with just a cat and no muffler for a long time and had no overboost.
With the stock turbo you could run up to 24#'s of boost but you are really getting out of the range that the stock turbo is efficiant<sp>.
Also, with a stock turbo your fine with the stock injectors. Alot of people have taken the stock inj well into the mid to low 12's.
As far as a AFPR, I have a ATR but I would recommend a full billet one. Mine's lasted for about 5 years and have had no problems but I like the billet ones better. I was stupid back then :)
You could run a external wastegate and then not have to worry about overboost
Sorry about the long post but I HTH

Is a wastegate, the same as a dumpvalve?
What is a full billet ATR?

How long does the stock turbo last? I think my truck has almost 200 000km, and the turbo was serviced once, but im not sure what the problem was.

Is there a way to remove the air conditioner, so that the stock intercooler remains?

Im askin all this, becouse i want to make sure that my truck runs with the minimal amount of problems.

A full billet AFPR is one that is all aluminum, and rebuildable. The ATR is one that is a stock FPR with just the top "chopped" off with a billet cap put on. At least it used to be, looks like they may have changed it. I haven't looked at ATR stuff in a long time. Go to McCoy or RPM's website and look at their stuff.

Not sure what you are meaning by dumpvalve. All a wastegate does is "bleed" off exhaust pressure resulting in regulating boost. It can be internal "stock type" or external. Going with an external on a stock turbo is ALOT better.

A stock turbo can last a long time, it just matters on how well it is taken care of. Since your has about 125k miles on it and it has been rebuilt I would say it should be ok for a while. Just make sure you change the oil regularly.
Hope this helps
