68 NOVA and Rocket

Saw a guy in a 68ish Nova hauling ass for no apparent reason up ahead in traffic last night on the home form Walmart withe the wife. As it turns out, he was playing with a crotch rocket. The car looked fully restored but noticed the guy driving was Gigitygangsta and had some 22's with pretty much no sidewall. We all caught the next light. I acknowledged we were all racing  Light turned green and the guy in the Nova just got left plain and simple. I held the bike off til 60. As he was passing me he jumps off his bike and was kinda skiing. I almost jerked the wheel into him to teach him not to be a retard. He jumps back on and makes a motion like I suck. So we get to the next light and I get next to him and I give him a thumbs up like he was the coolest guy in the world. The guy in the Nova pulls up on my other side and says, "Damn homie dat shitz off da hook yo!!" I smiled and said thanks. Thing that sucked about the whole thing was earlier that day I was pulling codes and had truned off the IC and forgotten to turn it back on. I figured this out the next morning, I may have held that bike off to 70, oh well.

Re: 68 NOVA and Rocket

I was watching the Speed channel last night and they had their bike night shows on. There was a bunch of new R6's, CBR 600's, and Kawasaki 600's they all were running 1/8 mile and were trapping anywhere from 79-93 mph. So depending on rider and weather conditions it's very likely to hang with or beat a street bike. I only say this because there are people out there that think for some reason street bikes are untouchable.

I raced a R6 right before my truck broke. We were at a light and he starts reving it and I'm thinking OK what do we have here. After I look over the bike, which appeared to be brand new and only a 6. I thought well lets give this a shot. Not even close had him by 1-2 lenghts for the first half a block and it looked like he shut it down. It appeared he wasn't the most of experienced riders, as soon as I shut it down he got over behind me and turned off on the next road. I wonder if he took the bike back to the dealer and asked to trade for a R1 :rotf:

"Damn homie dat shitz off da hook yo!!" --Thanks, but you might try the local community college, they do offer English 101

Ohhh nice kill

Re: 68 NOVA and Rocket

 Yeah bikes dont scare me much. I figure even if I lose theyre on a bike with a far better HP to Weight ratio. But how many people out there can even hang with a bike for even a little bit? Not a whole lot that Ive seen. A Z06 can take out a mild bike in the top or mids but yould never see that on a light to light basis. So taking them up to between 50-85(my best so far) ispretty damn fun and gives me a HUUUGE head, bigger than it already is. Ive seen a few vids of cars taking out bikes. BTW, I saw the same thing you did on the Speed Channel. I saw one guy run the 9.5 and thought, hmmm, bet with a LIIIITTTle tuning I can make that time :rotf: I know I cant Im just thinking big with little.

Re: 68 NOVA and Rocket

Yeah, I saw that XJ-14 Kawasaki running 9.5's against that Hyabusa, thats crazy and the guy was saying with some tuning he'd be 8.8's-8.9's on a fairly stock bike!!! They also had the McCoy guys on there and if you watched real close they showed 1 or 2 older pics of them standing there with some Syclone's
