Re: 422 cam.

I would guess his signature is his build [Vortec, GT35R, and 2800rpm stall.] The 422's I have heard seem to have lope at idle. I would do something a little milder like Comp Cams 415, one Turbotime Custom cams (214 or 218), or call Campbell Automotive. I have a similar build and use a Turbotime 214 custom cam (214 Duration 530 lift 115 Lobe Seperation).

Re: 422 cam.

I run a 422 w/1.6 rr with rhoades lifters, the lifters cut the cam under 3k from 215-220 and
.530-.540 to 205-210 and .505-.515.I also run a 62-65 PTE dual BB turbo with 2800 stall 9/11.Ihave really good response on the low end.

Re: 422 cam.

I run a 422 cam and it is not a bad cam. it is very street able and pulls good up top and bottom. Next one i go with will be a cam that is designed for a turbo motor.

There is not that much difference between the 412,415,and 422 cams. At idle there is a very very slight lope compared to other with 412 and 415's but they all had full exhaust and i have a open 3" down pipe almost right off the turbo. That is the only reason it is detectable though.
