Wow, that thing has some history. Too bad it's sat outside for 11 years. I just put in a bid on it.

It's not a scam, that is the real Typhoon C. Owner emailed me this morning about it.

Are you going to buy it, Adam?

92 - strike 1
blk/blk - strike 2
horrible condition - strike 3

Not even remotely interested in it, even before it was left to rot. Only things I like about it is the hood, the 4.9 busch motor, and the suspension..... the rest is just old skool syty crap technology to go 10s, which according to the last people who saw it, said no way without some much needed tuning.

What a shame... That was probably a really nice truck at one point. Like Joe Dirt said "shit'll buff out"

I rode in Typhoon C way back in 99ish time frame. Shortly after the pics Richard took.

cool truck but IMO its not worth anymore than any other truck with "some" parts (actual list hard to tell) that has sat outside for the last 10 yrs.

It honestly ran like poo when I rode in it, the quality of work done was nice but in todays standards its not that special IMO.

I have never seen this statement before:

Jim Stokes built three, 2 Syclones and 1 Typhoon

Guess it depends on what the seller is describing as "built" but I'm pretty sure Jim built more than 3 SyTy engines. The number was low but I thought more than 3. I know of at least 2 other Sys, and 1 Ty that had a Stokes engine.

I do think, though, that Jim built very few trucks in their entire form as far as installing the engine/drive train/other suspension parts. Mine was with him for well over a year and he did technically "build" it in the beginning.
