What Adam said, this is an open event. Got a daily driver or other race car you wanna play on course with? Bring it on. There are limitations to what can be raced (e.g. no H2 Hummers....cough....Harmon....cough), but as long as your ride meets tech, you're good to go.

Its official...Just took an entire week of vacation for Shindig. I have off for the entire event and will finally get to meet everyone who attends. I however feel my build will take longer than expected to complete. This makes it difficult to come lay the smack down on T-Bone and SYO237 in the AutoX.
So...
I know you guys will need a lot of help to set-up and run the events and to cook food, hand out awards etc. I will be there with this sole purpose. So organizers please feel free to PM anything you need help with. I can show up early if need be because I'll have the whole week off as well.
I'm good at fixing all the cones everyone will probably knock down. :tup:

Awesome! I'll definitely be in contact, we have a few volunteer spots that would could use some help in!
Youre more than welcome to sit shotgun in my truck too if you want to take a lap or 2!

Can't wait put my week in for Vacation time as well. Wife is bringing her TY and I am bring my SY.
Wife wants to compete in both Events Shes geeked. Should be a great Event! Love all of the Competitiveness

Hell Ya! Getting my Syclone Tuned by Alex Before I come....I wouldnt miss this event for nothing been waiting all year! Also have some RC helicopters with aerial Cameras including a phone operated auto hovering hover craft. Plan on recording some high altitude Flybys as well. By the way Wife went to Milan on the second pass with her Stock TY no boost she ran a 14.7 beating Tbones run in a Sy of 14.8 wasnt his Sy though

For those coming in on Thursday, we'll get together for lunch/supper. The coordinators are planning on getting together all day Thursday to get last minute stuff, setup things, and hang out together. Those in town early are welcome to hang with us, though we will be going here and there throughout the day. Given enough room and not too many people, those coming in early are welcome to crash at my house Thursday night. Might even head down to the river and grill out or something. I'll get a headcount as it draws closer.

Nice! Im going to bring my Walkera heli, unfortunately it cant handle any cameras. Im amped to get some arial stuff. Ive actually got something in mind to make with everyone's footage.
Only issue is at autoX. Not sure if the port authority is gonna allow any RC heli flying...and not sure how the SCCA feels about it. Could be a liability....not to say we cant do something AFTER we do the autoX and line the trucks up for photo ops.
Cool! If she has any questions, Im happy to answer them. Im no pro and still learning, but im open to help anyone else wanting to get into it. Hood is the most seasoned autoX racer on here actually.
I gotta get the latest off my vid card and get them formated. I think im going to montage them all together in 1 vid with the various cam angles since none of my runs where stellar.

Flying during event is probably a no-go. We can probably get clearance for some low flying shots afterwards like Adam mentioned, but not too high as the GPA is strict around there. We might be able to do something near the hotel, but it is right next to an airport, so that's tricky too. However, anyone arriving early is welcome to fly in my 40 acre yard or across the road on our farm (900+ acres).
