Stab it and steer it
Here's a vid of a recent 12.6 pass at Infineon. Yes it was windy, no, it's not downhill. The uphill shutdown makes it look that way.
The truck has run 11.6 but was showing some knock retard so I pulled some base (wire removed) timing and wow, what a difference. Lost an entire second! Before the next trip I'm gonna put some timing back in and look for a happy medium. IOW timing for this run is dead on -0-. 'course knock retard is also -0-. I'd have to look but I think boost is 22-23
What's interesting is with these recient runs it is the first time I've been able to make changes to the tune and see the result in the ET and/or speed. Truck is performing wonderfully in my book. Consistent upper 11's with virtually no knock retard is the goal. Now if the driver could just improve at the tree...
