Sorry about the Engine, especially this early in the Season. You pushed it pretty far and something had to give sooner or later with that Boost. Suprised the new Turbo with that much boost didn't net you in the 10's. Guess the Stock heads/cam are the weak link on your combo. Saw on your video description your going Vortec build, can't wait!

It's not suppose to sound like that??

Sorry to hear about it, those things do happen after time. Looks like you got your moneies worth out of that motor though.

What is the next build going to be? Another stock block or are you going wild on this one?

Any plans on putting a cage in as well?

Good luck,
Nick

Currently looking for a block which will be 4 bolted and half filled, going with scat h beams, scat crank, je pistons, cam, ported vortecs, L35s, possibly some lil brodies.? 70+ lb injectors and a retune from rpm. Also shooting to build some log style headers if I decide to go brodix. no plans for a cage yet, even though the new build would require.

I'm looking for a donor block also. I have access to tons of 2000-2003 4.3's, not to try and hijack your thread, but can the lonblock to one of those be built for our trucks?
just asking, cuz a syty block is tuff to find. And if I do find a 92 4.3 that isn't from a syty, what needs to be changed on the block?.....Thanks

Re: 11.46 timeslip /stock LB

UPDATE::
Just tore the engine down and found the carnage. 1 spun main. It probally didnt remove any material from the saddle because of the #s still being on the backside of the bearing. The bearing tang was partially gone. Im gonna have my dad put it up on his align bore machine to see how far out of wack it is. IF ANY?? All in all ill either build the main back up or cut into the saddle which will bring the crank a little higher in the block. It looks as the 2 center caps had loosened / stretched from the 30+ psi I had ran on it! I magnufluxed the mains really good to make sure there were no cracks and through it in my dads acid vatt!.
Block will be cryo treated here locally/ half filled/ and 4 bolt splayed billet caps installed! I will be doing a very similar build to Cambells 787 hp engine build.
