1/8 mile time

I have done the usual. ATR stage1 kit, walbro, afpr, good tuneup. One problem gutted cat. Now I have boost Problems. Went to the track on 93 octane went 1.74 60' & 8.45 @ 80mph . Had to lift about 100' from the line. Is this slow for what is done to it. Any thoughts on how to control the boost

Got a diacom or datamaster file to send someone?

Why did you gut the cat? It's been posted many times that most trucks overboost with it gutted...only a few seem to work with it.

Why did you have to lift 100' from the line?

We can't tell if it's slow or not if you can't make a full pass.

As for controlling the boost - get an external wastegate and boost controller.

What chip are you using? How much timing retard? How much boost? What is fuel pressure set at? Is truck shifting ok? Do you have an exhaust system as well or just gutted cat with stock exhaust?

cat was burnt up Had to lift because of overboost no datcom leave the line at 7 psi after that boost is at 15psi through 1st boost creeps to16 to 17psi and the truck stumbles i have atr pit bull chip fuel pres is 41psi

What boost gauge are you using?

Get a diacom, no boost until then. Don't drive your truck at all really - send your keys to BG.

Where does the truck stumble?

Do not race your truck while it is overboosting. Realize that at the 16 and 17 lbs that you are achieving (assuming accurate gauge), you are only supplying enough fuel for 14.7 psi at the most. Scary isn't it? Verified that FP is rising with boost?
