just waiting on CarFax to decide

I finally got this ty running tiptop and posted on ebay. It had over 700 views, 14 emails, 2 actual calls but ended up zero bids. I emailed every thing I had to CarFax to help them come to some sanity as far as the mileage differences. It doesn't look like I can hope for much until CarFax...

cranked ty with jumper wire still in obd1

while trying to figure out why the a/c(now cold) only blows out of the bottom, I found a vacuum line sucking air. And there was a nut stripped out on the clamp that connects the garrett cooler to the throttle body. I understand that I maybe really close to getting its 99problems figured out, but...

cranked ty with jumper wire still in obd1

well I swapped the MAP sensor for one I had in stock. Probably not the correct one but WOW it stopped its running rich issues. Runs good BUT doesn't wanna build any boost. But compared to how it was running, ill take it. Still on the chopping block though~

    92 Typhoon Black/gray Bama

well, I gave it my best, but couldn't seem to get it to stop running rich. It did pull like a freight train, 1 time since ive owned it. It did get my attention too. I never thought 26 year old awd typhoon could lift its front end up so damn high. It was like I was on the lake in a speed boat &...

cranked ty with jumper wire still in obd1

ive been under& over this one for 7 months. Ill check the TPS tomorrow. It did show me "what it could do" for 3 seconds, a month ago. Ive been trying to get it back to anything close to that. It got my attention, as I had NO idea the frontend of these things even could come up that far, being...

How do I fix this arm rest?

I repaired my cracked drivers side pull handle with basic abs plastic I had left over from a head unit install. Just cut out a piece to replace the cracked bottom( seems I made 2 of them) drilled 2 holes for the screws & it was tighter than the passengers side when I finished. Getting it to bond...

cranked ty with jumper wire still in obd1

The MAP was a $15 2bar ebayd unit. I hear ya on the vacuum lines. I wanna say, i actually saw one of its Silicone vacuum lines trying to collapse while it was idling. I assumed they do that when they are in fact needing to be replaced? Its got to be something simple, there is only so many things...

cranked ty with jumper wire still in obd1

ok a new ignition module was the corrupt. New map sensor, double checked, hell triple checked the fuel pressure, vacuum lines, plugs, wires everything except the oxygen sensor. Yet it still runs rich & throws 33 & 45 codes. I give up

cranked ty with jumper wire still in obd1

accidently I started my ty right after checking for any codes, It cranked right up, but sounded funky, and the check engine was going nuts. I knew something was wrong & shut it off. I then noticed the jumper wire was still in the obd1. Damn I am so close to finally fixing all of this ones...

terrible car fax turns into treasure

hello from bham, I was told about a 92 ty in a nearby county back in November 2017. After a few chats about it, I told the guy to 'bring it to me'. I handed him the cash & had my fingers crossed that he would return with it. This is, in no way, how I normally buy cars, but ive kinda known him...
