Zinc anode

Any electrolysis gurus out there?

I have a alu.Griffin rad thats going into my truck.
The rad is ofcourse connected to the motor with rubber hoses.

Electrolysis is my worries, http://www.griffinrad.com/electrolysis.cfm

I had a plan to weld in a 1/4 NPT bung into the radiator so I could fit a zinc anode.
But does the anode actully have to have contact with the aluminium rad?

You know what I'm trying to avoid, drill a whole in the new radiator and weld the 1/4 bung into it to fit the zinc anode.

Re: Zinc anode

just needs to be connected with a wire i believe. all the ones ive used on piping just used a hose clamp around the pipe and a wire attached to the anode.
