not that it's a huge deal or anything but I'm doing my fuel pump right now as I type and you read this. always suspected a bad pump so I figured I would buy a new Walbro from mike lee (syty performance). previous owner listed a Walbro on the list of performance products so I thought I had the pump area covered. I'll post pics later.

the pump looks like it (walbro) sort of but I am not completely sure. well, atleast I know that this pump did hold to the 11's but not without problems. He even put the 20 amp fuse like I've read on here that is recommended so I really thought it had the Walbro.

oh well, whataya gonna do. just ranting here.

ok, upon further inspection I do see AC on the bottom of the pump. so, now I know.

what I don't know is how exactly this new pump is suppose to go. the old has a brass looking box and the new pump has a hose that I can only assume goes in place of the box connection. am I correct?

That box is the "pulsator". It evens out the flow pulses from the pump. Also restricts flow. Get rid of it. Just replace it with some fuel hose.

I feel like such a duche for telling everyone I had a walbro when I actually did not :oops:

Its hard to know what your getting when your told it has XYZ. My GN motor is getting built right now due to a broke piston. I was told it was all Forged internals, Hbeam etc.. and it was all stock stuff. At least now I know whats in there!

Make sure you put on a submersible fuel hose or you will be doing this again with in a year!
