WTB - Proper PCV

Looking for 8995910 or 799C with the "E" stamp. Amazingly hard to find (or come with ridiculous shipping charges) in the marketplace.

I'll take two if you have them.

They are still available, I had Nick (NJ93TY) get me 2 through his job. Don't know if he's willing to get them but I do know they are still available.

Re: WTB - Proper PCV

Steve I have extras,pm me you're address I send them to you for nothing!

Will do, thanks.

Hood has them too, and if I remember the two are different

Hood does not.

Search "PCV" on this forum and you will read endless conversation about TWO different valves, but you will not be able to find the second part number listed anywhere. For now, I'll be happy just to change the passenger side, which I believe is the GM # listed above. If you can locate part # of the second, I think everyone here would be grateful.

I think he said two, since he now owns two running trucks, which is somewhat of a rarity in these parts.

Re: WTB - Proper PCV

There are 2 different ones, the one that goes to the Throttle Body closes under boost and the one going to the air intake tube takes over crank case ventilation. I forget the parts #'s though. Sorry I'm no help. Doesn't sytyauthority.net list the correct p/n's?

Party true, yes.

Yes, apparently you are correct...but the second part # is a mystery. I did an exhaustive search on SyTy yesterday. Here's what's on sytyauthority:

CV valve (letter 'E' on the bottom) GM #8995910
AC Delco #799C

As I understand it, this is the same interchangeable part.

Yes, they are on there, but when you select "quantity 1" it gives you an entire box of 10.

Re: WTB - Proper PCV

Pretty sure E is on the bottom of one and F on the other. Has anyone got the SyTy cd? I think the parts are listed in there. I'll have a look this weekend as I have a pile of spares for them.

Did anyone verify this? I checked my truck and I have 2 Es on there and now wonder if that's correct. I deleted the driver side one.

They are Both "E" on the PCV bottom. You need two for each truck. They both go on the passenger side valve cover. One goes to the back side of the throttle body (works in vacuum) the other goes to the crossover air tube (works in boost).

There is no PCV on the drivers side valve cover. That tube at the rear of the valve cover goes to the air box.

Yup - mine is gone :)

I wasn't sure if there was another PCV valve.

Well - in answer to this thread then, seems that there is only one valve, the E type and the part numbers are already listed.

Thanks Keith!

Yep, verified. Don't believe the old threads about 2 different valves.

Keith replaced mine in about 30 seconds.
