Re: WTB - Proper PCV

They are Both "E" on the PCV bottom. You need two for each truck. They both go on the passenger side valve cover. One goes to the back side of the throttle body (works in vacuum) the other goes to the crossover air tube (works in boost).

There is no PCV on the drivers side valve cover. That tube at the rear of the valve cover goes to the air box.

LOL my truck has one on the driver side. Any pictures of were the one on the back side of the throttle body is. I want to make sure when i finish my build I get everything where it should have been before. I saw the one on the pass valve cover in the middle but didnt know there was another one over there.

Re: WTB - Proper PCV

Yup mine was all jacked up when I got my truck. It had the one in the middle of the valve cover going straight to the intake pipe. Nothing going to the throttle body, and one on the driver side valve cover also going into the stock intake pipe. Where the front pcv valve closer to the belt should have been it was just left open nothing there.

So I am guessing the one closer to the front of the engine is the one that should go to the intake pipe yes.

Re: WTB - Proper PCV

Get it from Hood. $2.50 I think... All over eBay as well.

OK, hook me up with some links.. I searched hoodtuned.com for PCV:

"There is no product that matches the search criteria."

I also browsed through his products and couldn't find any..

So I went to ebay.. Searched the GM part #.. Found nothing.. Searched GM Turbo PCV. Found some results but none with the correct part #....

Part Number: 8995910 shows available @ http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ for $2.70 a piece

You have to order 10 at a time so the out the door price is $39.95 including Shipping & Processing & Handling

I already did that.. Got an email a few days later that the part is no longer available, I had been refunded and the order was cancelled....

PM him or email admin at koresource.com

or try GMpartsgiant.com

I just googled them and a few places sell them - pretty sure Auto Zone do as well.

I have a couple if you get desperate!

Re: WTB - Proper PCV

So besides the letter(s) what the heck is the difference? I suspect that the one on the TB has no small hole. As I recall in a normal motor (normally aspirated) in a high vac situation like at idle the valve would pull closed and you'd still have some PVC flow through the small hole. In a boosted situation that would/could pressurize the crankcase.

No?

No?

The vacuum is primarily from the TB but when that valve closes due to boost, the vacuum is still generated by the second valve as the crossover tube pulls air from the crank case.

I understand that part. Just wondering/speculating what the difference is between the two valves themselves. Not in what they do.
