Re: Will This be The World's Fastest SY?

Can you explain the purpose or goal of this post? I am sure people would love to see this truck at events like Nats, it has won awards both here in chicago and in detroit, but actions and ignorance like that just further fuels the disdain that many of the long time members have of this forum.

next time please keep that to yourself as it offers absolutly nothing productive to the topic at hand.
:roll:Relax Silly.....just trying to poke a little fun at some of the names in the post and I didn't know I had to have a goal during all my posts!

Ignorance? Who are you.....the post monitor/police? I said nothing bad......the ONLY person that took this thread to the garbage is you Mr. proper post!

I said nothing about his truck and it does sound really nice. I don't think anybody has mentioned that the truck is not a quality piece during thread? The only person bringing it up is you....weird!

Did I read right. A th400 and 4:56 gears?

No t-case which means no gear redution there and the look like pritty tall tire. YOu would think you would only be able to go 50mph but with his combo I am betting he peak right after the finish line in MPH

reguardless of what it runs, Roberts truck will still be the fastest Syclone. Until someone builds a faster V6 AWD Syclone, there is no competition.

the only thing i dont like about it is no awd,if you are gonna remove that and say you are the fastest Syclone, then why put a v6 in it.

I know there are a few 2wd conversions here and they are sweet, but i think to have thew king of the world title it needs to be turbo, v6,and awd. But maybe thats just me.

Take it a step further if you want. Robert's truck is a full frame truck and "streetable"

You can't compare the two, each are impressive in their own way but Robert will always be able to say he has done the most with the least.

I would not turn down the chance to own either, but I would want them each for different reasons, ya know?

I'd love to see this truck at nats, as it is one of those trucks that most people have only seen pictures of..

I'm sure only a small handful of people have seen it in person.. besides some people grow out of parts of the hobby, like messages board or national meets.. in their mind they are not missing out on anything, those of us that do attend know how good of a time it is and know that they are missing out.

Great! Two weeks before the 2009 Nationals and you want insult folks.
Thought everyone learned a lesson from the "Bully Syclone vs MrSyclone" incident.
What happened to "Southern Hospitality", or "We welcome any/all folks", or
"Even if you cant bring a vehicle, enjoy everyones company" attitude.

Flatly, the Homecoming Events were quite successful because they were
low competition, non-threating, friendly folks, with laid back approaches to
different builds. The Nationals could be a neat gathering, or a attendance
for spoilers.

Was hoping the 2009 Nationals would be fun. This thread shows me otherwise.
I agree with DIG....(this posting is totally useless, insulting, and just plain argumentive).
Plus, if you know any of the vehicles or gentlemen mentioned....they would never
say, post, or display a degrading picture about anyone.

Now I got to re-think any valuable added about attending this event.

Degrading picture.....man you're getting a little touchy these days:( I just saw the names Crystal lake and Jason since those two names are both from the Friday the 13th movies and that's the picture I posted is all! Nothing more...Nothing less....RELAX!!!

It is not aimed toward him at all........just saw the two names and found it funny is all.

If I said anything derogatory about Jason or his truck it was definitely unintentional. If I didn't like the truck I wouldn't have it's motor as my background wallpaper. Trucks like his are the stuff of pipe dreams for me. Mr. Syclone, Doc Hoover, Ed Hess all roll (or rolled) 9 second or faster trucks which I know is something I'll never do. I don't have either the money or the expertise to put something like that together. However, I can still aspire to it. Jason's truck represents that same holy grail type deal for me except that I have no idea what it runs.

Knowing Jason, (and assuming that you never met him, talked, or visited his home)
I will stick up for my friends. No different than if someone posted a dumbazz picture
about you  (I would respond the same way). If a posting needs to be explained,
or the humor needs to be clarified (or a posting begun with "No Offense...but")
it probably needs a "disclaimer" to those other than yourself who may not get the joke.
I guess I missed a lot of movies and references like this escape me.
Like calling someone the "elephant man".....not funny if you have disabled folks
in your family tree.

But you may feel differently (tho again I would do the same for you and many others on
this site that I call friends). But hey, I appreciate the feedback. And I never blow
my cool...so chilling comes naturally.

Wow, I've never seen this truck before. I really admire quality craftsmanship and this truck has it in spades... I love some of the aircraft-inspired design details. Just like Marty's truck, it just shows that there are some people out there with vision, money, and the determination to build something way cool.... simple as that for me :D I give it two
