since the oil leak, and his constant struggle with being lazy.
A few of us are starting to make bets on when the truck will
actually be road worthy and legally driveable on the roads of PA.

we are curious as to what your opinions on the subject are?

yanking the motor sucks....the r&r could be done in two days if you work hard....but that still doesn't change the fact that yanking the motor sucks....if it's just the pan gasket, you might get away with just dropping the front diff....my 93 ty doesn't have one and the oil pan looks like it'll drop right out just fine....never tried it though....

Lets also not forget that he also has no downpipe and wastegate at this point..

I say within 5 years. Since I was the one who got to see the oil leak first hand and know that there is no room in renz's garage to change the gasket he will be forced to rely on someone to transport to a garage....(matts) and do it there. now compund that in with no wastegate and no downpipe. you are looking at a minimum of 2 years. no welder to make the downpipe and the closest access to a welder is 1 hr away.

lets say it gets fixed.....now comes the hard part, passing inspection.

I think ADMIRE is the better term

Technically it runs.

It ran out of inspection 12/2002. Its registered and insured though
Cause THAT's certainly no waste of money.

seriously, there is a better chance of me getting married this year, than there is of his ty being legally driven on the streets of PA

I heard the truck run once. Even then he couldn't keep it running for more than 5 minutes and the battery would die or something. I say within 5 years. Didnt you have some ricer in a honda give you a jumpstart?

On a side note I talk to techweasle now and then. He is the editor of an import car mag and really busy. Not to mention he can not get his truck running the way it should be to save his life.

thats funny i still have my 2/ 02 sticker on my ty. no way it is passing and i dont drive it enough for me to worry about the stick, plus classic insurance is coming soon and i will get a free sticker.

It will get done when other people offer to help. Because the Man is too busy helping everyone else get the shaft. Speaking of that I need to install mine.

I can't give you an estimate, but if mine is back on the road before his, he definitely gets the "no idea what he's doing" option
