Wider than stock diff?

I don't really want to run spacers on vette wheels. Is there an axle that is 2" wider than stock? Or is my only option left is new tubes in the damn thing. Btw, running c6-zo6 brakes

Damn, too much. Guess I gotta go from scratch or cut down a zr2 diff, I'm sure those are real plentiful in the junk yards. Ugh

I run a ZR2 rear with 4 front rims and I made my rear cladding 3/4" wider than stock. Everything is flush that way..

Don't forget that if you do use a ZR2 you also need to swap out the ring & pinion to the proper ratio..

Why do you not want to run the hub centric spacers. Are you afraid they will break. I'm running them on my typhoon and Syclone with Drag radials. At 600 Hp + and hundreds of quarter mile passes. I've never broke one.

Re: Wider than stock diff?

I wonder if obtaining the correct offset wheels would be less expensive and less hassle than custom-length axle tubes and axles? But not as much fun as acting baller like you'd spend a few grand on custom axle parts instead of $50 on spacers.

Run spacers. You knew that's what you're going to do before you even posted.

I already own hub centric spacers. I just don't like the idea of spacers. Seems like a fail point.

Re: Wider than stock diff?

the rear axle comes in many different configurations but the "track width" as specified by GM, I could only find 3 measurements. 1387.8mm / 54.63" & 1399.0mm / 55.07 & 1500mm / 59.05". Thats 2wd rear, 4(a)wd rear, ZR2 rear.
