The change to spring...nice weather = people sell sports cars/trucks..atleast in the northern part of the country..

There are die-hard SyTy folks who will only part with their vehicle in a life/death situation...and some, like Jimmy, may choose death before letting their truck go
. Then there are the mainstream curiosity buyers who hear alot about SyTy's and just "have to have one". Once they do and their curiosity is appeased, you'll see the truck for sale so it can once again be abused by its next "new" owner. They really are impractical, suck gas, break often, hard to locate parts for, and most buyers can't deal with that. It's gonna take a pry bar 18' long to get mine away from me but I am a die-hard Syclone enthusiast and I'm in the market for a low mileage SyTy to be my driver, so if you're in the mainstream, PM me and I'll buy yours if it is the right one!!

I think alot has to do with the area in which you live. There are no SyTys forsale in the Autotrader in Michigan right now. I believe that a lot of the clean, well taken care of-pristine trucks are on this board and members understand that they are high maintence and enjoy the uniqueness of these vehicles. Many people don't know what these are and have no clue on how to maintain and keep up the trucks. We are in a very limited market here, many people still have no clue what these trucks are and that makes selling them really difficult. Many people just think they are a "pimped" out blazer.
I truely believe we need to get more publicity, and more information out on these rare vehicles to create a decent market for them. Many times the same trucks have been forsale for a LONG amount of time.

I think its the same reason why people sale anything after they've had it for a while. They just get bored with it, and figure why not get rid of it.
Which, that is understandable. Its our nature to get bored with things. But its some peoples loss, others gains. I dont plan to sale my truck for a while. Mostly because its been awhile coming to get one. I've wanted one sense I was little, and back in the mid 90's when I first learned about them.

I can see how that happens first hand. I thought that I would always own my Corvette and for the first 7 years or so, I thought that would be true. I also spent money on it like I was going to keep it forever. I became frustrated with its problems and moved on to different vehicle (The end of the keep it forever was shgortly after the purchase of my Sy) I planned to keep my Sy it atleast 10 years, right now I am planning to keep it longer, but no promises to keep it forever.

You wouldnt believe how nuts I was going a few weeks back, when all these somewhat low miled trucks started poping up for sale.. I couldnt sleep some nights knowing I was passing up a truck just because I told myself to wait until that right one you like.. :lol:
Then Jimmy wouldnt leave me alone about 1713 and I bought it.

I love my ty, It would take another ty that is low milage for me to get rid of mine, even then I'd have a really hard time letting it go.
